Tickets for the 2020 Simulation

The theme for this years simulation is ‘Health in the Digital World’. Tickets will be going on sale this Friday! You will be able to get the tickets from the SU website. For further information ask our ambassador, or contact us on facebook.

Hi guys, this post is just to update you all on where we are with the 2020 conference: The SheffWHO 2020 Organizing Team have decided to cancel the face-to-face SheffWHO 2020 Conference and issued a full ticket refund to all due to the current outbreak and official pandemic declaration by the World Health Organization of the COVID-19. After careful consideration planning, we, SheffWHO 2020 Team, have decided to deliver the conference digitally so everyone can still attend SheffWHO and learn valuable skills despite the current outbreak. The eSheffWHO event is expected to take place on either May 1-2 or May 2-3 via Zoom. The event is free of charge and welcomes all participants. There is a survey linked in our bio if you could complete the survey form by April 5 to let us know your decision/availability. Then, registration for eSheffWHO 2020 will be launched subsequently. Dear Distinguished Delegates, After consultation and thorough consideration of all factors, the SheffWHO 2020 Team has decided to postpone SheffWHO 2020 conference (27-29 March 2020) until further notice. We understand that many delegates have spent significant resources to attend this conference. Due to this, we aim to offer all delegates an option for a full refund of the purchased conference tickets (both Early Bird and Regular Tickets). At present, the SheffWHO 2020 Team is exploring all possible alternative methods in delivering this conference. To do so, we will seek advice from the University of Sheffield, our sponsors and other stakeholders for an appropriate venue. Should the majority of the delegates opt to attend the conference regardless of the succeeding changes, the SheffWHO 2020 Team will provide updates and further information on the registration of the adjusted conference. However, in the meantime, full ticket refunds for all delegates will be processed in the next few weeks. We will do our best and work with the Student Union Office to accelerate the refund process. We will continue to closely monitor the current situation and recommendations from the UK government and the WHO. Apply to be part of our Central Committee! Do you want to contribute to the organisation of an international ModelWHO simulation of 150+ participants? Apply to be part of the LonWHO2020 Organising Committee! Do you live/study in an area with no existing ModelWHO simulation* and would like support and advice to start your own locally? Apply to become a UKWHO Campus Ambassador! *Except if you are a student at a London university and would like to create a ModelWHO society to organise mini simulations, training days and host the LonWHO simulation, in that case apply as well! Key information: - Deadline to apply for the UKWHO Central Committee and LonWHO 2020 is Friday March 13th at 11:59pm - There is no deadline to apply for Ambassador but applications will be considered on a rolling basis, so apply as soon as you can! - As a Committee member, you will be able to attend the LonWHO simulation for free (either as organiser or chair), and as an Ambassador, you will receive a discount to participate as a delegate!
